It's almost the weekend and for most of us it means extra time to craft!
Hope you get some spare time this weekend to Scrapbook some of your memories or make a card to brighten someone's day!
Why can't we have a
COASTAL ESCAPE
on a Thursday!!
Such a beautiful collection!! The colours.... the images.... the feeling of holidays on the beach...

OLD MAC
I also created a few projects which we were either published in the February Workshop Magazine or were on display at CHA last month - always exciting!!
'Horse Riding Fun'
Starting with 2 sheets of the same paper - one as the base and the other cut into squares a little smaller than 2" and then adhered back on top, but not perfectly? The background was then sprayed with a little of my 'special' mix (my original 'Antique Gold' mist topped up with water - gives a vintage covering, with a shimmer!) Finish by layering various Collectables and Elements from the Sticker Sheet.
'The Best Memories" layout
How great is the Tartan sheet! I started by creating a frame in the centre and adhered a smaller piece of the Corrugated Iron behind - by choosing a bunch of the 'light brown' Collectables to layer over the Corrugated Iron there is really only two colours.
"Sheep" layout
I found this super old photo of a heard of sheep coming through town... and it had aged to a lovely shade of sepia too! With just a simple border of the 'Dirt' and simple layering with the Collectables in similar tones to the photo the page is kept simple - still needs a little journalling when I find the exact story!
"Beautiful" layout
The final layout is one of my oldest friend, many years ago - I chose the red to highlight the romance surrounding a Wedding! Still kept it simple by just adding white and the 'light brown' elements if the Sticker Sheet and Collectables. I like the addition of the 'Horseshoe' as a reminder of brides carrying on for luck and the banner title and whimsical Butterfly too!
Be sure to pick up the February Workshop Magazine for so many layouts and projects with both of these collections,
Alison :)
