A2Z Scraplets - December challenge

Hello again,
It's been awhile since I've participated in the
A2Z Scraplets challenge
...so I thought I should give it a go this month

This is the Inspiration board

Snakes, Ladders, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow..
and this is what I did - -

Image may contain: 2 people

I had purchased a set of Nesting Stars awhile ago, thinking I would use them in something 'Christmas'...
but no, I came across a photo of my brother and his wife when we went to the EKKA a couple of years ago - I think it was Scott's 'blue shirt', Susanne's 'red shirt' and the dagwood dog is kind of 'yellow' and I figured the 'snakes and ladders' element from the mood board reminds me of 'Games and fun etc' which is what the EKKA is all about!!

I started by adhering the largest star in the centre and randomly covered it with crackle paint, and repeated this with the 2nd star in yellow crackle paint. The next star was simply inked in red. The photo trimmed down to 10x10cm and framed with a black star.
Embellished with a Heidi Swapp banner, sprayed with Kaisermist in Yellow, A Charms Creations red heart, a little spiky red flower from The Resin Rainbow(reminded me of the fireworks), a little blue peg, spotty bow and not much else - title is some stash Thickers!

Thanks for visiting,

Hello again,
Wasn't sure I was going to make the deadline for the
Sketchy Boards challenge

but I squeezed in a
Masculine card

The Mood Board looks like this -

And my CARD like this -

...have a Four year old in mind... did you see the IV on the side with the resin pieces from The Resin Rainbow? How cute is that car!!
The tag, Kite & Happy Birthday are from Scrapmatt's.
A little squirt of Kaisermist on the background - a little ink on the tag and kite too - the sentiment inked in gold...along with a bit of a swipe around the edges of everything.
Finished embellishing with some of Finnabairs metal elements, some random buttons and a few old brads too!

It's good to get started on the Birthday card stash,
Alison xx

Kaisercraft December challenge

I LOVE Kaisercraft!!
Always have...
Always will...

The December challenge is full of the most glorious traditional reds and greens - this means Christmas to me!!

Love your Merry Christmas Face
Layout

I thought instead of creating with traditional colours and patterned papers, I would grab a 'used all the letters' in a large 12x12" chipboard Alpha sheet - sprayed it  with KaiserMists in 'Lime' and ' Red' - adhered this over a sheet of black cardstock (to indicate waking up in the morning? lol) I had added strips of Kaisercraft 'washi' Printed Tape in a green pattern, along with some random misting in 'White', Kaisercraft of course! Olive and Lipstick swiped randomly around the edges.
Stapled a few pieces of White Lace (EM926) - a random paper doiley - swiped the Sleigh (FL362) in the leftover mist from the chipboard sheet - Inked the LOVE (from FL461 Love, Peace, Joy) in Lipstick ink - added a F664 Paper Blooms in 'Fire Red', F650 Mini Paper Blooms in 'Honey' and F669 Mini Paper Blooms in ' Fire Red' and my last Em945 Crochet Doiley!!
Photo in a frame and Merry Christmas from the clear sticker range - such a versatile range. 'Your' and 'face' from the Alpha stickers.

ALL Kaisercraft products... but probably not in a way you were thinking?

Little Emily waking up on Christmas morning, always something to document and remember!!

Kraft Plus - December challenge

December...
a little hectic with the shopping,
day to day living
so it is important to stop..
and take a little time to remember
why we scrapbook
who will look through the albums
will someone be interested to know that we lived in
Boyne Island for 3 years - we bought a brand new home -
We would swim at the beach after school most days
we grew vegetables
we have lovely memories!!

The inspiration board for the Kraft Plus challenge this month is -

I found a couple of our 'work in progress' shots of the garden,
and my favourite chair too

Image may contain: indoor

I was pleased to fit 2 larger of my favourite chair and the waterfall we created with a pond for the frogs - and 2 smaller photos to highlight our vege garden.
Flowers were part of the Southside Stampers camp last August - some lovely ladies hand made about a dozen pieces for each lady... how good!!
Simply inked 'black' the 3 Scrapmatts arrows and did a little stencilling with the black ink to.
When we drive up the coast we always call into see how the garden has grown - we planted everything... down to the grass!!

Get Crafty - December challenge

My lovely friends Jody, Tracey and Vicki have a new Facebook Group called
Get Crafty
there will be crop days, challenges and more in 2017
super exciting!!

The December challenge is
an Inspiration picture
and Colours too!!
Berry, Tangerine, Chocolate and Teal - unusual combination?

No automatic alt text available.

I picked up some lovely feather chipboards from Scrapmatts when they were in town for Craft Alive in November and Triple Treat in December, not sure I had an exact plan at the time... just like feathers? lol
But, when I saw the dreamcatcher image in the photo with those on trend colours, I had an idea...

No automatic alt text available.

When I was looking through my stash of Scrapmatts it occured to me the top of this COULD be a dreamcatcher.... well, it could -

So I snipped off the semi circle and used the strips to add more to the dreamcatcher part, using twine to attach or a little authenticity!!
A little washi tape behind in co-ordinating colours,

Image may contain: outdoor

The feathers were -
Misted, added Crackle paint, Alcohol inks, reinkers, Izinks,
just about anything that was in these colours?

Then sprinkled some Flower soft and Prills and let it all dry!!

No automatic alt text available.

Then just adhered all of those feathers - largest to smallest - so they looked like they were flowing down...
and added some more sprinkles with the mist...and,

DREAM

Photo is our son Tim, a few years ago... he is still at Uni - layout created to remind him to keep his DREAM big and keep working towards it - we will always be proud of him!!

Dusty Attic - December challenge

Wow DECEMBER is here and already half to Christmas!!
I haven't crafted for a few weeks...
I have cleaned my room so am ready to go -
I saw a beautiful layout on the Dusty Attic FB page,
and the Mood Board this month has the most glorious dark tones,
so I gathered some chipboard and created a layout

DECEMBER MOOD BOARD

I took inspiration from.... just about everything in the photo!!

'Exquisite'

Image may contain: 1 person, flower and plant

I had some leftover scraps from a class I did with Natalie May at Seriously Scrapbooking - Bo Bunny 'Beautiful Dreamer' collection - the papers have the most divine shade of 'purple' so I fussy cut a couple of pieces to add to the layering.

Dusty Attic chipboard pieces
 - layered swirl Frame 2
- Hinges
- Mini Words #3
- Brick Wall panel

Added some 'Concrete paint' to the Brick Wall Panel, and proceeded to remove most of the bricks so I could continue the pattern - the paint is very realistic and they actually 'feel' like concrete, how cool is that (Paint available at Tj's Scrapping with Style)
The Frame and Hinge have Distress Paint and Kaisercraft mist in 'Blackberry' to colour - and the gold is from a Posca pen!!
A couple of the flowers were part of the Goody Bag at the Southside Stampers Retreat last August (Thank you for saving me time to make my own!!) I did alter them a little with some mist?
A couple of resin leaves from The Resin Rainbow..

Photo is my Mum as a child, I'm going to frame it for Christmas!!

Kelly-Ann's Saturday Sketch #1

I totally ran out of days in November to participate so I'm making sure I get a layout done for December...
I chose Sketch #1

In November Aunty Sandra, Phillipa and I had an amazing experience at 'The Faeries Tea Party' in Lollipop Land

Image may contain: 2 people

I picked some cardstock and ONE sheet of Prima patterned paper, a couple of flowers from the collection, some Thickers and of course, some 'Christmas' Butterflies!! Kelly-ann said they are perfect for any page, and I found these colours matched the papers perfectly!!

Yes, that is a giant Polar Bear we are posing with... do you BEElieve?

White with One - Green Flash

For those playing along quite regularly,
you will know one of my favourite colours is

GREEN

and especially this fresh tone

Green Flash

It is also the Pantone colour for 2017 - hooray!!
I received my resins from The Resin Rainbow - Thank you Janet!!
...and then gathered some bits and pieces

A new passport for Christmas?

Image may contain: 8 people

Starting with a sheet of white, I misted the centre and tipped towards the outside for a little drippage - Kaisercraft 'Lime' - then started stamping with an old Darkroom Door Christmas set (the swirly words are so cute) - The fabulous resins from The Resin Rainbow with some Imaginarium Designs Stars (sprayed with white gesso)  - added a green flower for the girls, a couple of doily frames and of course - a couple of Sharon Pick's green crystal stems to finish!!

No automatic alt text available.

Can you see the clear Christmas tree? It has green micro beads inside the resin... how cool is that!! Love the way Janet is always thinking of new 'resin' ideas!!

Our children all had to update their passports for a January trip - Tim received great marks and is going into his final year at Uni - Emily has some plans for 2017 - Katelyn going into Senior High school - we love to spend time together as a family!!

Extra passport photo supplied under duress!! lol

Scrapping Outback - December challenge

November disappeared in a flurry of
Adelaide Adventures
Glisten at Bella Paperie
and
Triple Treat - Scrapmatts
so it was lucky I did my November entry early in the month..

Even though it is a crazy festive season,
I wasn't going to miss the last
Scrapping Outback challenge of 2016
especially as it's all about GOLD

and my family is GOLD!!

Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST USE AT LEAST ONE PIECE OF CHIPBOARD (as Scrapping Outback is known for ALL its Chippie)

Photo is just a few years ago...

LOVE IS.... US

Image may contain: 8 people, people smiling, indoor

I started with a sheet of white cardstock (as per the rules) -
I had an old jar of Distress crackle which is a bit sad, I know, so I smeared it through the centre section in vertical stripes.
Chose some lovely pieces of Imaginarium Designs chipboards - Denise's Fern Flourish, Mini Cogs etc and inked them GOLD -
I misted the vertical strip with Tattered Angels 'Mustard Seed' which is almost gold, through the Jamie Dougherty 'Spotty Diamond' stencil.
Stamped a few 'Indigo Blu' "Industrial Lamps" for some dangly bits and stamped a few extras of the chain!!
A little torn strip of Cocoa Vanilla Gold spot vellum at the top and bottom.
A Prima tag holds the two family photos and some flowers to cluster and then a sprinkle of Cocoa Vanilla Studios epoxy dots in gold to finish.

Good luck to all who enter the Scrapping Outback December challenge!!

D-lish Scraps - Triple Treat exclusive kit

How fabulous is Amanda of
D-LISH SCRAPS
yes, I know... I think she is too!!
She has taught a fantastic class at
Workshop Wonders
and at the Triple Treat - Scrapmatts event
Sunday 4th 2016
She had a table laden with all the cute stuff
AND, she made an exclusive kit especially for the ladies who attended
So, of course, I purchased one for $10 - Bargain!!
Gifted one to my friend Novita too - to see what she would do with those matching embellishments?
Anyway,
this is what I created -

Image may contain: 1 person

Had some left over 'Cocoa Vanilla Studio' scraps from Belinda Spencer's class (An Awesome Adventure in Adelaide with Alison) so put them to good use... and they were a lovely match for the pinks, yellows and green from the D-Lish Scraps pack - perfect!!

Did a little stamping with a Darkroom Door stamp and Fucshia Stazon - splattered some Kaisercraft mists (Candy, Yellow and Lime) - added a couple of Kelly-ann's butterflies in the lovely lime colour - even added the twine which tied the pack together!!

Photo is our Emily, many years ago... she had the longest ringlets when she was small and such a sweet face!!
