White with One challenge - Blue Jeans

Hello,
time is short this month but couldn't miss the
White with One challenge
...I have The Resin Rainbow 'resins' to use!!

Bundle of Joy

Image may contain: 1 person

How lovely and swirly is the Imaginarium Designs chipboard title!!

No automatic alt text available.

The mystery pack of resins included the cute camera and a bunch of cute little critters which I added here and there. I also incorporated the chevron felt piece, made into a banner and the little flag at the top - Janet always includes some coordinating embellishments to add in the pack as a bonus!!

Photo is our Niece's son Mason - she is due to have another baby any day now!!

More than Words - February challenge

Hello and
Goodbye to February!!
Started the month in Asia with our family of 5, to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary,
Had a Craft Alive event in Toowoomba,
Hosted the lovely Di Garlings Qld tour of stores and then she taught at my Workshop Wonders event
I've taken 2 days of Heartfelt Creations classes with Emma Lou at Arnolds
so,
I've only had a small window of time here and there to do some challenges this month
I did choose the

Together & Beautiful layout

Image may contain: 1 person

I started with a sheet of 49 & Market patterned paper, it is quite thick and doesn't buckle as much with wet mediums. I doodled a border with an Aquarelle pencil before tracing over with a wet brush.
I've pencilled some thoughts and sentences with the word
TOGETHER
all over the background, and then added some random stamping with a Paper Roses stamp 'Music notes'.
I misted some 'cherry' spray from Marker Maniacs through a small brick stencil and 'stamped' the excess too!!
I did have an extra large Ampersand in my stash, unknown brand, which I roughly covered in texture paste and then sprinkled a couple of colours of Beck Beattie's 'Color Crush' powders (a bit of pink and brown) and then misted so they mixed together and let everything dry!!
Misted the wood veneer 'beautiful' with the Marker Maniacs mist - lovely colour and shimmer!!
Clustered some 49 & Market flowers, Prima leaves, a D-lish doiley and some stamens from Scrapping with Style, my local shop.

Photo is our daughter who, although a bit quiet, has it all together

It's marvellous Monday, with Alison Bevis

Welcome to a new day and a new week,
There is a LOVE theme happening on the blog this month...
it's Valentine's Day this week!!
...so you'll see some extra Hearts and Love on my projects today.

"Amazing Day"

Last year we drove to Newcastle to watch our fabulous friends get married, it was an Amazing Day!! Our daughter, Emily took this family (minus Tim) selfie on our way into the ceremony.
I chose a sheet of blue cardstock as a base to match Katelyn's dress - the rest of the photo is fairly neutral - then proceeded to stamp and dribble crackle paint along an upward line. Adding some chipboard stars, rhinestones, stickers and flowers in white, silver, blue and black to keep it simple.

I love how the crackle paint looks on the chipboard!!
It's easy to add some hidden journalling behind the photo - it's so important to write the story that can be seen in the photo!!

"Love that you're so cheeky"

I came across this photo of my husband and his sister... as you do...
created a background on some patterned paper, a bit grungy but a few flowers too..

Chipboard coloured with a shimmery mist,

Title pieces inked with brown and black.

"Love you Mum" Tag

It is fast approaching my Mum's birthday - and really Mother's Day is just around the corner too!!
To create a tag to add to a gift bag, I added some of the mixed media supplies from the previous layout to the front of the tag, before adding a simple floral cluster, before adhering that great chipboard title on top!
A giant pearl brad at the top and a piece of dangling trim adhered along the bottom finishes the tag off, ready for the gift bag - you could also add the tag to a layout or card front?

My Mum prefers more neutral tones so I think she will like this one!

"So Love this"

Family photo shoot - 3 and a half?
Added all of the chipboard piece inked black as a contrast to all the pretty 'pastelly' patterned papers (Say that fast 3 times? lol)

A little bit of fussy cutting, beautiful flowers and some fabulous chipboard is my perfect combination!!

"25th Wedding Anniversary" card

We recently returned from a little adventure around the Gulf of Thailand with our 3 children to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary, and yes, I carried this card in our luggage to give to Anthony on the 1st of February - it was a little 'shabby' by then, but he could still read my words on the inside!!

The chipboard hearts were painted with glaze - the background with a coat of crackle paint (it is seriously my 'new' favourite thing lately!!)

The frame also was gifted a coat of crackle and when it finally dried (it takes too long for my patience?) I randomly rubbed a little black ink.
The numbers are such a good size for cards - think personalised birthdays, retirements or most other celebrations requiring a date! I already have a Christmas card in my head..

"Happy Birthday" card

Started by stamping onto some watercolour paper I tore off the spiral (it's like bonus edging?) Sprinkled some 'paint powder' onto the background and also the 3 'flowers' before covering them in a seed & micro bead mixture, flakes and 'prills'.

While the Flowers were still wet I shaped them to look more 'flowery' and let them dry naturally to retain the shape.

"Happy Birthday" Card

If you know me, you'll know I love Christmas!! Love all the bells and whistles, but particularly the packaging part - always like our gifts to be presented so they are 'cute' - but also when we receive gifts how I can reuse and alter them to recycle. This year we received a gift card in this fancy pull out holder, so I've adhered some patterned paper under an Imaginarium Designs backing card (I really love adding these as layers to my projects!)

Chipboard had a treatment of 'Concrete Paint' and a little spray gesso.
Made some little flags to put the mini cogs onto.

When the card is opened out, you can see a place to add a gift card and then write your sentiment on the other side - done!!

I have created the projects above with all of these designs below -
