More than Words challenge - April 2017

Hello April, and almost goodbye April,
couldn't miss the challenge over at
More Than Words
Black, White and PEACH
and the word DREAM
...sounds like a bit of fun to me!!

It's been super busy this month, with signing a contract to sell our home, children, Easter celebrations etc
but I snuck in a little time while Jane Tregenza was teaching at The Stampers Hut -
I picked up a lovely sheet of Authentique paper and started fussy cutting the flowers...
Jane found this lovely sheet of Prima paper in peach and I watercoloured the flowers with her Inka Gold.. and the 'brick' chipboard.
Added some Imaginairium Designs chipboard title 'Happy Days' and the 'clock' inked black - leftovers from her class!!
Came home and found this photo... simple!!

Dream.... Happy Days

 Image may contain: 3 people

Title has been inked 'Pearl' and while still wet and light sprinkle of glitter

I know some people think fussy cutting is a lot of effort but I just love the finish effect!!

Photo is my hairdresser Tammy, her partner Jesse and their gorgeous girl Phoenix - we have known Tammy since she was about 2 (Anthony worked with her Dad Peter and we became friends) it has been lovely visiting her every 6 weeks to have my 'skunk' removed! hahah
The bonus is she regularly gets professional photos taken, so I scrap them for her album!!

Thursday the Thirteenth.... a day for ... THIS....

Welcome, Hello. Greetings, Hi  and G'day to you all...
as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter
it seems like a great time to send or give your family and friends a card!!

I gathered some bits and pieces,
and fussy cut some Bunny images,
stamped some Easter sentiments,
and ended up with a bunch of cute cards!!

No automatic alt text available.

The 'Mallory Flourish' chipboard has been given a coat of Distress Oxide ink - the sentiment simply stamped and trimmed - added a few tiny flowers (Prima, Green Tara etc) - done!

No automatic alt text available.

The 'Edward Relief' corners were all used in this set of cards - one here just inked with 'purple' - Bunny image - flowers - a sticker and a stamp combined to make a sentiment - easy!!
Kelly-ann's giant butterfly stickers covers the tag hole - trim from Bella Paperie - Prima, Kaisercraft and stash flowers!!

Image may contain: text

The 'Phillis Frame' was heat embossed - the 'Happy' from a Happy Birthday chipboard set, simply inked and layered over the stamped 'Easter' - bit of floristry - simple!!
A simple paper doiley is a pretty base..

No automatic alt text available.

Another corner from the 'Edward Relief' set of chipboard - some stickers for the 'egg' and I snipped the 'day' from the 'Happy Birthday' set (So now I have a 'Birth' for a baby's occasion?) - slightly more masculine... but still easy to do!!

No automatic alt text available.

The birdcage is actually about an inch shorter, but I snipped it across and 'stretched' it to fit on the tag - it was also heat embossed for a glossy finish - there is no birdacge for that little chicken running away!!
The little ribbon knotted at the top is from anew shirt, just trim off the ribbon loops and keep them close at hand - budget tip!!

The final two pieces from the 'Edward Relief' set and also one of the centre flourishes (still two spares for another project!!) all heat embossed - stamped and snipped the sentiment - flowers and it's good to go!!

How lovely is that 'Oval Frame'!! I had actually thought it might be nice as a photo frame on a layout... for an Easter photo, of course! But it fit so nicely around the basket of bunnies so it was inked in a pearly white and adhered - the basket is an old stamp, coloured with a waterbrush and ink - stamped sentiment - and the last two of my stash of Kelly-ann's butterflies!!

I thought I'd share part of our Easter display this year, this is for the little kids to play with, there is a buuny marionette, jumping rabbits & chicks, little bags & baskets and a collection of Easter books to read and some to colour too!! I also included an extra 3d Train set with a bunny driving the train to bring some eggs to town -

I had coloured the train and carriages with marker but it was way to bright, so some white pearly ink was smudged across the surface - there is a little Green 'Flower Soft' on the rolling hills and a sprinkle of green beads under the track for some grass - the background 'grass' started off as a small piece of white glitter paper with various green inks blended then some hills were torn and then adhered to the chipboard back - bit fiddly but easy, and fun too!!

Birdcage x2                 Happy Birthday

Phillis frame                              Double Oval Frame with Butterfly

Edward Relief Corners                      Mallory Flourish

If you're wondering about all of the pastel coloured mats, frames and corners... they are from a 'baby' scrapbooking kit, just a super cheap one, I bought from Scrappin with Style at TJ's and decided it would look better for Easter cards - some pieces even came with a bit of glitter here and there as a bonus!! (I am not a glitter fan, sorry?)

Thank you for visiting...

I hope each and every one of you has an
EGGcellent Easter..
That you get to spend some time with the people that bring joy to your life,
and possibly get a little time to create some Easter projects too!

Remember to take some photos, document your story and preserve your memories!!

Scrapping Outback - April challenge 2017

Hooray, it's a NEW month,
which means NEW challenges
Including the
SCRAPPING OUTBACK challenge

Hot Pink, Light Pink and a touch of Green!!
You must have a white base AND chipboard,
so I choose some of my favourite pieces from
Imaginarium Designs
and some pink flowers...

Together is a beautiful place to be..

Image may contain: 1 person, flower, plant and indoor

I've sprinkled some Lindy's magical shakers around the edge to form a border - a touch of green..

Image may contain: 4 people, people smiling

The title from Imaginarium Designs was smooshed around a puddle of Marker Maniacs mist - I love how the mica has pooled giving a variegated look.

Image may contain: flower

This Imaginarium Designs flourish piece was also smooshed!!
A couple of Heidi Swapp banner strips from my stash were misted with Marker Maniacs, a bit of muslin to tuck around the flowers from The Vintage Chicks Club and some crystal stems from Scrapping with Style at TJ's to finish it off.

Photo is from Shaz and Al's Retreat at Coopers Colonial motel a few years ago... such a lovely bunch of ladies!! We shared some laughs, participated in challenges and made some lasting friendships!! The theme was Christmas in July and we also celebrated Sharon's birthday with a cake made by 'The Sweeter side if Life', Thank you to Shelley for arranging the cake. Gloria dressed up as Mrs Claus too, so much fun!!
