More than Words challenge - April 2017

Hello April, and almost goodbye April,
couldn't miss the challenge over at
More Than Words
Black, White and PEACH
and the word DREAM
...sounds like a bit of fun to me!!

It's been super busy this month, with signing a contract to sell our home, children, Easter celebrations etc
but I snuck in a little time while Jane Tregenza was teaching at The Stampers Hut -
I picked up a lovely sheet of Authentique paper and started fussy cutting the flowers...
Jane found this lovely sheet of Prima paper in peach and I watercoloured the flowers with her Inka Gold.. and the 'brick' chipboard.
Added some Imaginairium Designs chipboard title 'Happy Days' and the 'clock' inked black - leftovers from her class!!
Came home and found this photo... simple!!

Dream.... Happy Days

 Image may contain: 3 people

Title has been inked 'Pearl' and while still wet and light sprinkle of glitter

No automatic alt text available.

I know some people think fussy cutting is a lot of effort but I just love the finish effect!!

Photo is my hairdresser Tammy, her partner Jesse and their gorgeous girl Phoenix - we have known Tammy since she was about 2 (Anthony worked with her Dad Peter and we became friends) it has been lovely visiting her every 6 weeks to have my 'skunk' removed! hahah
The bonus is she regularly gets professional photos taken, so I scrap them for her album!!

More than Words - February challenge

Hello and
Goodbye to February!!
Started the month in Asia with our family of 5, to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary,
Had a Craft Alive event in Toowoomba,
Hosted the lovely Di Garlings Qld tour of stores and then she taught at my Workshop Wonders event
I've taken 2 days of Heartfelt Creations classes with Emma Lou at Arnolds
so,
I've only had a small window of time here and there to do some challenges this month
I did choose the

Together & Beautiful layout

Image may contain: 1 person

I started with a sheet of 49 & Market patterned paper, it is quite thick and doesn't buckle as much with wet mediums. I doodled a border with an Aquarelle pencil before tracing over with a wet brush.
I've pencilled some thoughts and sentences with the word
TOGETHER
all over the background, and then added some random stamping with a Paper Roses stamp 'Music notes'.
I misted some 'cherry' spray from Marker Maniacs through a small brick stencil and 'stamped' the excess too!!
I did have an extra large Ampersand in my stash, unknown brand, which I roughly covered in texture paste and then sprinkled a couple of colours of Beck Beattie's 'Color Crush' powders (a bit of pink and brown) and then misted so they mixed together and let everything dry!!
Misted the wood veneer 'beautiful' with the Marker Maniacs mist - lovely colour and shimmer!!
Clustered some 49 & Market flowers, Prima leaves, a D-lish doiley and some stamens from Scrapping with Style, my local shop.

Photo is our daughter who, although a bit quiet, has it all together

Blue Fern Studios - June Challenge

Have you had a chance to check out the new SKETCH on the Blue Fern Studios blog yet?
Today is the last opportunity so get in quick!!

Michele Singh has created this fabulous sketch...

At first I really liked the opportunity of TWO photos but then I really enjoy creating a vertical cluster - it's always a great challenge, so this is what I created -

At the recent Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo, I asked Debra the owner of Bella Paperie to choose a few random sheets of Blue Fern Studios papers - this is one of them!
Love Story 'Sweet Song' which I covered with the Kaisercraft template 'Bricks' and sprayed Prima Colour Bloom 'Worn Leather', flicked a little Lindy's Stamp Gang "Moonshadow" 'Buccaneer Bronze' and sprayed "Starburst" 'bells of Ireland Green' along the centre strip.
The Blue Fern Studios 'Daisies Collage' designed by Michele Singh was sprayed with Glimmermist 'Its' Red' and Memories Mist 'Red' and the title 'Happiness' from the Good Vibes pack designed by Michele Singh was covered with Dylusions 'White Linen' and sprinkled with a little red too!
Embellished with a few Manor House Creations and Prima flowers and my favourite Gardenia's, rose buds and felt heart in red from My2angels.

Photo is from 1974 and is ME!! Sitting down to a tea party at a cute little table and chairs - cute!
