Introducing ... Charmed Memories

Glass Gift Necklaces

Looking for a unique and personalised gift like no other?
Want the perfect present for someone special for their birthday, anniversary or other special occasion? Would you like to mark the birth of a child or a sporting success by creating a stunning ornament? Have you a treasured keepsake (a lock of baby hair for example) you would love to preserve?
Let my2angels create for you a one-of-a-kind “Charmed Memories” Necklace. A cache style necklace – we create it by combining a 38mm x 23mm glass dome with a metal filigree base.  The standard chain length is an extra-long 84cm, but shorter lengths are an option.  You are then able to personalise it with your own photo and selection of accompanying charm and other embellishments.
Send us your favourite (vertical) photo, quote or small trinket to (info@my2angels.net) and we will add it to your personalised necklace.  A high quality resolution image is required and your name needs to be the image title.  A short message or quote, and details about the photo can also be added to the back of the photo frame.
These necklaces are individually made to order, so please allow 10 days (after I receive your photo and payment) for your necklace to be made. It will be posted to you "gift wrapped" and in a secure padded bag.

Glass Gift Necklaces

“Charmed Memories” Necklaces are available in Bronze, Silver and Gold.  You may choose your embellishments from a range of different colour roses and assorted small charms.    I will add various fabrics (tulles, muslin and sheers), sugar beads to compliment your theme.

Glass Gift Necklaces

If they fit, you may also provide your own small keepsake (lock of hair, baby tooth, sporting pin, etc) for inclusion in your necklace.  These will need to be sent via registered post, to us prior to sealing your glass globe.
Please keep in mind that these necklaces are an example of where “less is more” and that inclusion selections will be limited to a ‘reasonable’ number of elements.  Please select from the various options on the website in the "Charmed Memories" section or advise us in the comments section at checkout of your embellishment preferences.  To view the range of available inclusions please go here.
Cost is $24.99 per necklace - plus $7.90 postage ($3.10 extra if you choose registered post).
Our sample ‘bronze’ necklace has a selection of sugar beads, a cream pearl, a love charm and a cream rose.

Our sample 'silver' necklace is a beautiful tribute to a beloved parent's wedding day, with the date of the occasion given on the back.  The photo is adorned with white lace and tulle, sugar beads, a love charm and spray of white rose buds.

Tuesday Tips with Alison - Altering Ribbon Roses

Hi Everyone,

Today I would like to share with you a tip on how you can use Kaisercraft Ribbon roses in may different ways.

All you need are Kaisercraft ribbon roses, heatgun, scissors and a wooden skewer to hold your rose.
To make a 'leaf' - cut a green ribbon rose in half, then adhere the cut side together. If you trim on the diagonal it helps with the shape.

Alison - Tuesday Tip - leaves

Starting from the left top 1st row - the first rose is the standard rose cut off the strip; the next one along has been heated with the heat gun holding the centre with the skewer (start with a hot blast in the centre and then 'work' the heat around to shrink the ribbon and shape it like a bud);  next is a ribbon rose which has a pearl brad in the centre.

2nd row - to make the 1st flower, I hold the back of the rose and 'pull' out lots of strands from the front to make it shabby (or a bit frazzled?); the 2nd flower is the same as the previous one, then heated, the same way as above.

3rd row - here I have pulled the rose apart, making a length of ribbon which is perfect for a cute little bow!

Alison - Tuesday Tip - flowers & bows

With a pearl brad in a standard rose and a couple of 'leaves' it makes a cute addition to a card or a flower cluster.

Alison - Tuesday Tip - leaves example

On this layout, made with Heirloom, I used a ribbon rose with a pearl brad and another of the heated rose (shrunk) in the clusters.

Tuesday Tip - LO example

Below is the heated rose with some ink swiped across the top.

Below is a ribbon rose with a pearl brad as a centre.

Hope you'll try some of these ways of altering your ribbon roses.

Be creative, Alison x

Once she stopped work to raise children, the next journey into paper craft begun. Sue has been teaching for well over 15 years first in cardmaking and then Scrapbooking, in many local stores, including TAFE, and Paper Trenz. and Arnolds Scrapbooking. She has been published many times and was the winner in the Scrapbooking teachers section of the Queensland Royal National show 3 years in a row. Sue has been on many design teams, including Spellbinders in the past and now Imaginarium, Meg’s Garden and Couture Creations. Sue is also a teacher at Artdeco creations, one of Australia’s largest wholesalers, teaching master classes to store owners and other teachers in the industry. Sue also teaches at the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo regularly for leading companies. And her role as Editor of Australian Scrapbook Ideas Magazine, and Cardmaking in Easy Steps, brings her into contact with leading companies and designers in the industry across the world. Sue’s style is a busy feast for the eyes, with lots of embellishment and texture, with a shabby chic look, and mixed media vibe.

Crece Thomas - I’m a 33 year old stay at home wife and mum to 2 boys,12 & 10.
I have been scrapbooking for around 6 years now. I don’t think I have an exact style of scrapping. I think the best way to explain my scrapping is a bit of everything. I love trying new ideas and techniques and creating handmade embellishments.
I am currently on the Scrapmatts Design Team and Scrap The Boys challenge Blog.

Mandie Meier - Hi there! My name is Mandie and I am completely obsessed with all things crafty, especially scrapping!! I love creating everything from layouts to altered projects and everything in between, I have a massive weakness for pretty papers and flowers…. But you can never have too many right!?!? I own a little scrap shop in Toowoomba called The Scrap Cottage and I enjoy teaching and sharing my work to inspire others on their own creative journeys. I'm happily married and mum to 4 amazing kids and mother-figure to another 4 amazing kids which gives me heaps of inspiration to preserve the day to day memories of our chaotic lives. Pop over to my blog and take a look around

Jodi McNamara - My name is Jodi McNamara, I'm a mother of three children who I adore, well most of the time! I've only been a Queenslander for the last two years, originally from Albury, NSW - where I spent my spare time doing scrapbooking! Queensland has really opened my eyes to the crafty world, I had never done cards, I had never been to a crop or god forbid... a retreat and defiantly knew nothing about Stampin' Up! Now moving here I have done it all, absolutely love doing craft and learning new things and meeting heaps of crafty people! My favourite pastime is "Paper Piecing" or sometimes called "Punch Art" - love putting little bits of paper together! I'm now a Stampin' Up! demonstrator which I have an addiction too... absolutely love there products and all their ideas! Can't wait to share some of the products with you and meet you all personally, Jodi xxxx
