Masculine group post for Imaginarium Designs - September 2017

September in Australia means Fathers Day,
our group post this month is to create a
Masculine project

I didn't want to create a card,
I thought maybe a page about my wonderful husband,
and then I came across these mini prints of my Brother and his wife...
I only have one brother and one sister-in-law
and this page is for them both!!

Photos are always the easiest way to document your memories,
Print them,
Put them in an album,
write the details (you'll probably forget!)
and then you can take a trip down memory lane whenever you choose!!

Wonderful Wednesday - Imaginarium Designs DT

Hello!!
and Welcome to my September blog post -
tentatively titled,
Wonderful Wednesday!!
Well, okay I obviously couldn't think of something better so kept it -
as Wednesday are a wonderful...

I was going to make Christmas cards, bought some beautiful red papers,
had some fabulous chipboard pieces ready and then...
I was at a scrapbook store and saw a small paper pad with lovely images and soft colours, so
here you have the cards created from those papers with just a little chipboard -

I can never have too many CARDS
 - it's always handy to have a variety ready at short notice!!

some beautiful flourish chipboard pieces to go with the title
done!!

I recently visited SENZ in New Zealand, while I was there my friend Melissa and I had a little adventure on Sunday morning, we had a civilised coffee and cake in Centrepoint -
we enjoyed the 360' views of Auckland and,
then there was an opportunity for some photos with an optical illusion,
of course Melissa had to get a funny photo...
and I documented the 'green screen' action -

I even included a squashed penny we rolled while we were there as a memento!!

Chipboard is so easy to include on any papercrafting projects,
what piece will you choose for your next project?

Perhaps next month I'll get those Christmas cards completed?
Hope you'll come back to check...

White with One - Soul Pea - September 2017

Who doesn't love a soft minty green!!

One of my favourite colours is Green, all shades!!

SEPTEMBER Moodboard ...

It's such a pretty colour..
and together with my

The Resin Rainbow

subscription kit
Thanks Janet for making it so easy to participate in the

White with One challenge each month!!

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling

A page with no title?
Eek, I just couldn't 'name' the page
little Sienna is so sweet...
and that's enough - her Mum can write some journalling about the photo to tell the story!!

No automatic alt text available.

A 'stamped' the Oxide ink pad in a grid pattern and sprinkled with water for the background - you can see a little in this close up - the ink pad creates it's own texture and the water reacts with the Oxide ink which is always lovely!!

Image may contain: flower

The resin pieces were so pretty,
I just added some Prima Flowers, a D-lish Scraps sequin bow

Why not give it a go today!!
Another photo scrapped - tick!!

Scrapping Outback - September challenge 2017

Hello September!!

The team at Scrapping Outback has a lovely colour pallette this month

The 'rules' are to start with a sheet of white,
use Navy tones, Grey and Kraft,
and must include chipboard (I always have chipboard on every layout, so this is easy!!)

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling

So, I sprinkled some Lindy's Magicals in a vertical strip on the right hand side, flicked some Distress Spray and swiped the Oxide ink pad around the edge for a border.
A D-lish Scraps doily, some layers of 49 & Market paper, The Resin Rainbow doily (from a subscription kit) an old acetate camera from Maya Rd, some Prima flowers, a couple of Rosie's medallions and a few pearls.

Thanks for visiting,
Alison xx

Kraft Plus - September challenge 2017

Hello Kraft Plus!!
It's been so long since I had some spare time to participate in the challenge,
and then I saw the September
"What's the Buzz"
challenge,
the hexagons, bees and a hint of yellow
I picked up some bits and pieces from here and there,
and created a layout!!

No automatic alt text available.

It's a good one, hey?

Kraft, hexagons, my BEAutiful family (well, minus Tim) and a hint of yellow -

A cute D-lish Scraps Glitter bow in gold

I love how the Decoart crackle paste soaks up the spray colour from underneath - beautiful effect?

Have you participated in the Kraft Plus challenge?
if not... why not give it a go this month!!

Are you a Tag Swappper?

Scrapbook Club Tag Swap Group

I've been participating in a tag swap with some of the lovely local ladies -

Each month there is a theme

The theme for September is
TEXTURE

... and my swap partner is Tanya

Gosh I sure hope she likes flowers!!

This is my tag to swap with Tanya

No automatic alt text available.

I started with a Prima chipboard tag and sprayed a layer of Marker Maniacs mica mist -
I was creating a layout at the same time (spare time?) and covered some Imaginarium Designs Honeycomb in white gesso, then stamped off the excess onto the tag -
I swiped over a little Decoart white crackle - don't you love how it tinted itself from the spray!!
Then it was easy to adhere some more chipboard, a floral spray and a little title from Scrapmatts -
A sprinkle of pearls,
and a seam binding ribbon bow to finish it off!!

The plan is to get this one to Tanya before the end of September...

Let's take a selfie... my first... ever!!

Hello!!

Do you take SELFIES?

Well, I can tell you that this is my FIRST!!

Yes, our daughters and son are quite adept at holding their phones at an awkward angle while making sure they are smiling on a completely different angle... but this is not really my thing?

So, the group challenge this month is

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling

I picked up a couple of sheets of Graphic 45 'Midnight Masquerade' papers at The Stampers Hut - which matched the shirt I wore to Katelyn's Birthday breakfast earlier in the month!!
A little fussy cutting... and some paper layers... and a few pieces of chipboard too!!

Will have to add some journalling to tuck behind the photo...

Step one, two and three plus a holiday layout by Alison Bevis

Hello!!
Did you miss me last month?
Whoopsy, I moved house, packed my chipboard and totally was distracted with unpacking!!
Yes, my craft room went from an Office to a Bookcase....
my goodness, it has been a challenge!!

So I thought I better catch up a bit so have a few extra projects

Capturing a Moment in Thailand

No automatic alt text available.

and a close up of the chipboard - a combination of Paint powder and sprays were used to colour the cogs and black ink for the title.

No automatic alt text available.

The Look of Love..
I started by drawing a circle about in the middle of my page and then covering the outer edges with crackle medium. When it was dried and crackled, added a little subtle colour with paint powder to capture the 'cracks'.... and then add some floral paper, a photo and chipboard!!

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, flower

Added some sequins to each part of the banner for a bit of glitz!!

From love to Capturing the 'Baby belly'
Capturing the Moment

Image may contain: 1 person

This page came from a challenge by Natalie May to create something with the leftover 'Pie chart' pieces at the Unmasked retreat in July - I began by masking a rectangular space for the photo and then adhered the Pie pieces along 3 sides. I've dabbed on gesso to cover the the pieces, plus a little extra around the sides, before sprinkling with paint powder and spritzing with water and letting dry naturally.

Image may contain: 1 person

Embellishing with a bit of lace, flowers, a few mirrored arrows and that great title which spotlights a cute belly.

Onto the next step in the story...
the beautiful baby girl

Our Little Girl

Image may contain: 1 person

This layout was created with some resin pieces from a previous kit which I didn't get around to entering in a challenge... with a great Imaginarium Designs chipboard title 'Our Little Girl'

No automatic alt text available.

You'll have to imagine how lovely the shimmer is from the colour spray!!

Another 3 pages for baby Iylah's album
and one more of our son on our family holiday in January/February 2017
- done!!

Thank you for visiting,
keep creating,
Alison xx
