Welcome, Hello. Greetings, Hi and G'day to you all...
as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter
it seems like a great time to send or give your family and friends a card!!
I gathered some bits and pieces,
and fussy cut some Bunny images,
stamped some Easter sentiments,
and ended up with a bunch of cute cards!!
The 'Mallory Flourish' chipboard has been given a coat of Distress Oxide ink - the sentiment simply stamped and trimmed - added a few tiny flowers (Prima, Green Tara etc) - done!
The 'Edward Relief' corners were all used in this set of cards - one here just inked with 'purple' - Bunny image - flowers - a sticker and a stamp combined to make a sentiment - easy!!
Kelly-ann's giant butterfly stickers covers the tag hole - trim from Bella Paperie - Prima, Kaisercraft and stash flowers!!
The 'Phillis Frame' was heat embossed - the 'Happy' from a Happy Birthday chipboard set, simply inked and layered over the stamped 'Easter' - bit of floristry - simple!!
A simple paper doiley is a pretty base..
Another corner from the 'Edward Relief' set of chipboard - some stickers for the 'egg' and I snipped the 'day' from the 'Happy Birthday' set (So now I have a 'Birth' for a baby's occasion?) - slightly more masculine... but still easy to do!!
The birdcage is actually about an inch shorter, but I snipped it across and 'stretched' it to fit on the tag - it was also heat embossed for a glossy finish - there is no birdacge for that little chicken running away!!
The little ribbon knotted at the top is from anew shirt, just trim off the ribbon loops and keep them close at hand - budget tip!!
The final two pieces from the 'Edward Relief' set and also one of the centre flourishes (still two spares for another project!!) all heat embossed - stamped and snipped the sentiment - flowers and it's good to go!!
How lovely is that 'Oval Frame'!! I had actually thought it might be nice as a photo frame on a layout... for an Easter photo, of course! But it fit so nicely around the basket of bunnies so it was inked in a pearly white and adhered - the basket is an old stamp, coloured with a waterbrush and ink - stamped sentiment - and the last two of my stash of Kelly-ann's butterflies!!
I thought I'd share part of our Easter display this year, this is for the little kids to play with, there is a buuny marionette, jumping rabbits & chicks, little bags & baskets and a collection of Easter books to read and some to colour too!! I also included an extra 3d Train set with a bunny driving the train to bring some eggs to town -
I had coloured the train and carriages with marker but it was way to bright, so some white pearly ink was smudged across the surface - there is a little Green 'Flower Soft' on the rolling hills and a sprinkle of green beads under the track for some grass - the background 'grass' started off as a small piece of white glitter paper with various green inks blended then some hills were torn and then adhered to the chipboard back - bit fiddly but easy, and fun too!!
If you're wondering about all of the pastel coloured mats, frames and corners... they are from a 'baby' scrapbooking kit, just a super cheap one, I bought from Scrappin with Style at TJ's and decided it would look better for Easter cards - some pieces even came with a bit of glitter here and there as a bonus!! (I am not a glitter fan, sorry?)
Thank you for visiting...
I hope each and every one of you has an
EGGcellent Easter..
That you get to spend some time with the people that bring joy to your life,
and possibly get a little time to create some Easter projects too!
Remember to take some photos, document your story and preserve your memories!!
