Close to my Heart challenge

My lovely friend Sharon Young is a Close to my Heart demonstrator with a Monthly challenge in her group on Facebook - for October the challenge was to use some CTMH papers and create a layout - my other lovely friend Jacqui gave me a choice of some papers and I chose 2 pieces, 6x12 from the 'Lollydoodle' range and this is what I did with them...

The pink background paper and green leaves are the papers I used 

This is a photo of me on our Wedding day (1/2/92) just a few years ago! ...and yes, I'm still blessed!!

See the pretty pink seed beads wrapped around the chipboard frame? ... these are from my2angels one strand is only 60c at the moment BARGIN!

Scrapping Outback challenge

The Scrapping Outback challenge this month used this inspiration photo -

and this is what I did with those colours.. on a white cardstock base!

This photo was taken of our daughter Emily on the Royal Caribbean's  'Legend of the Seas' cruise from China, Russia, Japan, South Korea and back to China that we took in 2011 - loads of stories and heaps of photos!!

White with One - Radiant Orchid

Thought I'd give the WHITE WITH ONE challenge a go this month... the colour is "Radiant Orchid"

This photo was taken as I left hospital in my Mother's arms... it has been through the '74 floods and is tinged with the perfect shade of 'purple' for this particular challenge!!

(those sneaky sequin flowers turned green!)

Once upon a sketch Challenge

Hello!! I squeezed a couple of hours to participate in another challenge!

This challenge has a sketch and Journaling theme "The women/girls etc in our lives...."

And this is what I did... 

This photo was taken of our niece, Nerida a few years ago but I still love this smile!

Our family - My husband, Anthony and our children Tim, Emily & Katelyn... along with my Brother Scott's family - my favourite sister-in-law Susanne and their children Larissa & Callum went to Fraser Island after Christmas day last year for New Years Eve and about a week of 4wd camping - it was hot...the sand was like lava! We did day trips all over the island from the Lighthouse in the north, to the resort in the west! We saw quite a few dingoes this trip, caught some sand worms to fish with and the kids loved spending time together as cousins!!
