Did you see the inspiration picture at Scrapping Outback this month?
Always colours just a little bit different...I think that's why I enjoy this challenge - to find exactly THAT colour is challenge enough itself...
So I found some 'stuff', and this is what I created -
I started with a WHITE sheet of paper that had been pre-embossed with the diamond pattern....and then adhered 'Joint tape' (purchased from Joybell's) in vertical stripes...I swiped a little Viva 3D Stamp Paint in 'Rose Metallic' and it was so dark!! So, I used a 'baby wipe' to spread the excess, which left a lovely glittery effect! When I saw the Donna Downey 'Poppy Collage' stencil with it's dots, flower and alphas it was a perfect combination so I inked it with Adirondack 'Wild Plum' and inked around the edges of the page too!
The title 'Special Memories' is a beautiful piece from Imaginarium Designs which was heat embossed (along with the little bird from the cage chipboard) with Stampin' Up! White powder. The Bird cage was liberally coated with glossy accents and My2angels 'Sugar Beads' (always a lovely combination of seed, bugle and micro beads in various colour ranges - this one is Pinkish purpley!) - Dry!
A Prima 'Cloissone bronze', Kaisercraft mini paper blooms in 'Fuchsia', along with some random blooms spritzed in Dylusions 'Funky Fuchsia' were added in clusters, along with the now dry, birdcage!
When I went back and looked again at the layout, it still needed a little 'something' so, I used the Tim Holtz dauber 'Seedless Preserve' around the edges, and when it was dry, flicked droplets of water - love this! I also swiped stripes as a mini border, dry - and then added some random washi Tape to soften the dark colour..happy!
This is another photo of our Niece Larissa which was in a mini frame on the wall up our stairs...destined for her album!
