Kaisercraft - Tuesday tip!!

Today, I'm on the Kaisercraft blog with my Tuesday Tip!

Sometimes we just need quick, clean and simple Cards... Embossing Folders offer a perfect solution for those times when we need stylish and effective!

Did you know that Kaisercraft has released their own Embossing Folders?

TT embossing folders

I received Honeycomb, Weave and Damask in my DT box of products - and love each of them for different reasons (as you can see from my already 'loved' ones!!) So many different techniques can be done with Embossing Folders, so here is just a small sample of ideas...

TT EF Cards

What did I do with the HONEYCOMB (EF 203) Embossing Folder?

TT EF Cards 1

Top Left (Yellow) - spritz a couple of shades of mists onto the folder and run through your machine.
Top Right (Peach) - emboss the cardstock and then lightly sand the pattern.
Bottom (Blue) - emboss the corrugated card

How elegant is the Weave folder (EF200)

TT EF Cards 3

Top left (Peach) - mist the cardstock before embossing (Weave) and run an inkpad across the pattern (Damask)
Top right (Kraft) - Emboss Vellum and then roughly add Gesso to the surface.
Bottom - Ink the folder and emboss a piece of corrugated card

I think my favourite (at the moment) is Damask (EF205)

TT EF Cards 2

Top Left (pink) - lightly mist with water the folder, then add a couple of drops of re-inker before embossing the cardstock.
Top right (Brown) - emboss a piece of Vellum, then lightly use an inkpad to highlight the raised surface.
Bottom - cover a piece of cardstock with 'metal foil tape' and emboss (this also looks beautiful with alcohol inks to colour the foil... but that's for another day!)

You'll have to wait till March to see how I've incorporated the Embossing Folders into some other projects.... Layouts? Tags? Art journaling?

Enjoy, Alison x

ps, EVERYTHING on these cards is Kaisercraft, some OLD (like the Silk Flowers & Crochet Doilies) and some NEW (like the 'Captured Moments' cards, 'Photo Overlays' and Epoxy stickers) - use your stash!
